yeah june 14 was my birthday lol……..it started that day on my comp first with msa.exe and playmp3z, avg didnt catch it but i knew hearing an ad and not seeing a popup open would be bad, then system security came on it closed everything and didnt let me open it even tskmgr,i did a search on recently modified files, and spotted many obvious virus exe,dll and tmp, i deleted them and did a registry fix with tune up utilities,i reboot and it happens again, so i reboot in safe mode get a exe association reg entry and run my antivirus…..nothin….i open regedit and go through everything looking for shady values and rogue multiples i get everything and again i do a search for modified files this time i needed unlocker to free them from the processes they did so i can delete, i reboot and i find myself asked to activate windows, said sure what the heck and now i am in a fake desktom in a fake user one out of three and the real one is still there with all my files in it….i lost hope for a while but i just copy and paste the desktop from my user to the fake, i gave in and used malwarebytes it seems to have gotten it,but i loved the chase…..still no sign of my user booting naturally and safe mode has not worked anymore,it freezes at the last .sys

I was recently hit hard by this swell. What I did was downloaded ComboFix and renamed it to asd (in case the virus would block the program). Then I ran my computer in safe mode and ran combo fix. Then I rebooted my computer and ran combo fix again (to clean up anything possibly left behind) and my computer is back to normal once again :).

Although I do warn you, ComboFix is a very powerful tool. Be prepared to see it do some stuff you’ve never seen your normal anti-virus do before.

I found Manson/liser.exe trying to make a change to my registry via Spybot SnD, so I denied the change and ran AVG virus scan. AVG says that it “deleted” the virus, but Im always skeptical. I ran a Hi Jack This log, can I post it here for analysis help?
