Windows Stability Center (WindowsStabilityCenter) Virus Removal Guide

Virus Type: Rogue Security Application
Threat Level: 8 / 10

Windows Stability Center, also known as WindowsStabilityCenter, is a new fake computer security application. A computer security application provides various methods of computer security with computer tools such as anti-virus, anti-spyware, and computer protection such as a firewall. Windows Stability Center was released approximately March 31, 2024. This is roughly one day after Windows Process Regulator was released, which is a near copy of Windows Stability Center (the difference is the change in the name of the fake antivirus program). Other fake programs have been released in March 2023 which look similar to Windows Stability Center; These fake programs include Windows Power Expansion, Windows Support System, and Windows Troubles Remover (the only main different in the name of the program).

Windows Stability Center claims to offer a variety of tools including System Security, Privacy, System Utilities, System Information, Media Tools, and Internet Security. Windows Stability Center also claims to provide the ability of update these specific services and customer support for the program. Windows Stability Center displays in the right hand area of the program system information for the computer, which includes the name of the processing unit, the brand name of the processing unit along with the company logo, the speed of the processing unit, and the operating system of the computer.

Windows Stability Center is generally installed without user permission through the use of a trojan horse, which is downloaded while browsing the internet. The trojan horse is most likely downloaded through a security flaw. A security flaw can be found in all types of applications; for example, since the virus is transmitted over the web, applications which could have a security flaw include the web browser or any type of application used in the web browser while browsing the web. These applications include document readers and web applications. By updating software, most of these security flaws can be patched to not allow access to the computer from unwanted sources. Windows Stability Center attempts to be legitimate by making itself look like the legitimate Microsoft Security Essentials program. Windows Stability Center is similar in functionality to ThinkPoint and CleanThis. Windows Stability Center main executable is generally a series of random letters.

HEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP!!!!
I seem to have BOTH Windows Exansion System and Windows Stability Center viruses on my HP Pavillion dv4/1400 – I have tried absolutely everything to no avail. I cannot download anything or even boot from CD in order to get somesort of software solution loaded. I have finally managed to get to the opening page, I try to open Computer so I can launch a malware program and it crashes and I get the BSOD, with a warning to reboot in safe mode next time. . .
Even when I am successful in booting in safe mode eventually I get the BSOD. I am ready to rip every last hair out of my head – can anything be done??
