HijackThis Explained

HijackThis is a very useful free utility to remove spyware. The tool is different from traditional antispyware scanners in that it makes the user itself choose what to remove manually. The program itself has no virus database; rather, it allows the user to see the current computer settings and gives them the ability to remove as they please. However, removing entries which the computer needs can damage the computer. Therefore, it is recommended to be used with a professional or by a professional.

To download HijackThis, please click HERE. If you need help analyzing your log, please feel free to post it below with any symptoms you may have.

***WSPGW.EXE Virus Problems***

I am having problems with my computer after downloading a suspicious file. I believe it created Mspgw.exe in my windows32 folder and some other files. I deleted the files manually a few days ago, because my virus and spyware scanners could not detect for some reason. However, my computer still shows some symptoms of infection; when playing Madden the game continually minimizes, also my ctrl-alt-delete does not work anymore. While my other virus scanning utilities (and online ones) say there is no problem, Stopzilla still confirms my suspicions. I posted me HijackThis logfile and any help would be very welcome.

Thanks.
