It’s gone. This thing is a bear. I still see it in msconfig and Autoruns but it doesn’t plauge me anymore and when I search for it my little dog can’t find it. The first thing I did was go to sysinternals.com and download autoruns and process explorer. uncheck the box next to spyware guard in autoruns and also in the start tab of msconfig (start, run, msconfig) next I stopped the shield icon on my task bar. Go into windows explorer find spyware guard 2008 and delete it, then go to process explorer, find it there, right click it and click on “kill process tree”. I then did a search from the start menu and typed spyware guard there it found the program and I deleted it from there. Lastly I went back to msconfig and stopped DsAgnt from the start tab (I didn’t know what DsAgnt did and so did this as an experiment. I have no idea if this is related to the spyware guard virus or not.) So far I havn’t had any problems with this poping back up or showing up any where. Hope this helps.
