Very few virus removal products can do anything against this insidious evil program. Thankfully I found Avast. They give their scan for free to home users. I had to download their antivirus program on another pc but saved it to an SD card. Then I ran the install from the SD card. Once it was installed I used the “pre-boot scan” feature that runs the scan before the rest of windows completely boots up. A. it flys along scanning 200,000 files in 15 mins. B. it finds, quarantines and deletes the nasty virus. It took 3 sweeps to get a clean bill of health but by golly it WORKED!! I tried Webroot, McAfee, Malwarebytes’ and SpyDoctor and none worked. I couldn’t get the K-L product because the download functions on my I-E were hijacked as well. I can only pray I never see this one again.
