Antimalware Doctor (AntimalwareDoctor) is a fake antimalware program. A antimalware program is a program which is used to remove antimalware; however, since the program is fake, it will not remove malware. Antimalware Doctor is generally installed without user permission through the use of a trojan horse, which is generally downloaded while on the internet. Antimalware Doctor was released first on the web in February 2023. Antimalware Doctor claims to provide firewall protection, antivirus protection, and spyware protection. It also claims to feature automatic updates, scheduled scans, and RAM protection. A screenshot of the program is provided below.
The program will also make an attempt to scare the user into purchasing the program. For example, below is an alert which antimalware doctor will show the user:
“Antimalware Doctor has detected that somebody is trying to block your computer remotely via {Trojan Worm Bx12.434.CardStoler}. Transfer for your private data via internet will start in: 7. We strongly recommend you to block attack immediately.”
