Windows Emergency System claims to offer System Security, Privacy, System Utilities, System Information, Media Tools, and Internet Security. Windows Emergency System is a clone of previous fake antivirus programs; Windows Emergency System is a new version of Windows Remedy. The only main difference in the look of both fake antivirus programs is the name. Windows Emergency System attempts to look legitimate by making itself look like the legitimate Microsoft Security Essentials program. In doing so, it hopes to trick the user into purchasing the fake program since it may look like a legitimate program to the user. Windows Emergency System is similar in functionality to ThinkPoint and Palladium Pro. Windows Emergency System main executable is generally a series of random letters; many fake antivirus programs now have filename changes which change from computer to computer. This is most likely done to make it harder for the user to find.
