Removal Tip – Log Into Another User Account

When attempting to remove a fake antivirus program, one possible method to ease the symptoms of the fake antivirus program is to log into another user account on the infected computer. When turning on the computer, Windows will show accounts to log into. If the computer only has one account, it is easy to create a new user account. The reason why the user should log into another account is that some fake antivirus programs will only infect one Windows user account because the virus will be installed in that specific user files only. By logging into the other user account, you may be able to gain access to the computer and then be able to use a removal tool to remove the fake antivirus program. It is very important to scan and remove all infected files because computer viruses are not good for the computer. If the other user account doesn’t have any symptoms of computer infection, it is still important to remove the fake antivirus program.

In order to log into another user account, choose a different account when the computer turns on or log out of the current user account and log into the other user account. If the computer only has one account, a new account can be created. In Windows Vista and Windows 7, search “Add or remove user accounts” in the program search bar. Next, click “create a new account” in order to create a new account which to log into. In Windows XP, open the control panel and click “user accounts” in order to bring up the user accounts. From there, you will be able to create a new user account. Logging into another user account is one of many removal tips for fake antivirus programs.
