Antivirus Pro 2009 is a rogue security application which attempts to force buyers to purchase their software by using malicious tools and software to slow down the user’s computer. The software will tell the you that you have viruses on your computer and to act quickly. However, most of the viruses reported by the software are non-existent. The software is a clone of XP AntiSpyware 2009 Malware. The software is completely fake and will not remove any viruses.

I went through several sites to try to remove AntivirusPro2009. I’m not successful yet, but I believe I’m close. Anyway, I notice that not all AntivirusPro2009 elements are identified in ALL the advice sites. In particular, this file — HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\AntivirusPro2009 -i is never mentioned in the other sites I went to; only in this site. But when I looked at my files, it appears in my folders. Of course, I had to delete it. So my point is — if the problem keeps reappearing, be diligent in going through advice sites, as you will learn something helpful, though probably in bits and pieces.

How diabolical is this they hijack you and then demand you pay them? Why are they not blown from the face of the earth or their oprations halted by the authorities? I can’t even get to my email on my pc nothing just their effing warnings and credit card reception system and I am broke until payday so I am stuck and all sites to help remove this also want credit card information and money I hope this snake swallows its own tail or someone shut them down and locks them up

this is getting quite frustrating now, not only do i not have any antivirus program files, but registry also looks clear. any body got any other ideas please.

I’m a computer geek (internet tech support) by trade, but when my husband called home with this crap on one of their work computer I cringed. Manual removal would be fine for me, but not something I was looking forward to walking him through over the phone. Found your removal tool and running it now…and is finding/removing stuff, so fingers crossed! and thank you!!

Thanks to you all I have removed everything that has toi do with AVP09 except for one file I cant even find. Can anyone help? C:\documents and setting\owner\application data\microsoft\internet explorer\quick launch\ antiviruspro2009.ink. I have atempted the search option but no files come up?????

народ это все непомогает– потомушо помимо этого нада закрыть для этого парадную дверь(чего в реестре написано очень далеко и много) я сегодня 3 часа промучался с рабочим кампом на фирме друга, для этого нужно всего: интернет, АВИРА АНТИВИР ПРЕМИУМ(желательно с фаерволом) и лицензыя(триал) но не кряк, и программа START562(в гуглях есть”), некривые руки, и немного понимания чего в реестре и и процессах(отличить нужный от ненужного процесса). и все радуйтесь (а что касаеца висты — там помница есть але+ф10— типа востановление заводских настроек иль ка ктам)

это все неработает– потомучто снесем мы реестр- а дверь то открыта– вот сначала ее нада закрыть, для нормального решения проблемы нам нада:ИНТЕРНЕТ, АВИРА АНТИВИР ПРЕМИУМ(луче всего с фаерволом ине крякнутая– триал ильлицензия) и прожка START562(найти можна в гугле) и некрывые руки и понимание в процессах и в реестре винды(я сегодня перепробовал много всего–у меня у друга на фирме на рабочем кампе сидела эта дрянь,снес ее я так и все работает кульно )
я уверен у вас получица

Malwarebytes has easily removed Pro Antispyware (2008 and 2009) from two computers that I’ve worked on recently which were infected with it. A freeware version is available at Malwarebytes.org.
