I have 2 computers that have been infected with this and it has stop both computers from booting. The first one I the hard in another computer and ran the virus scans to get it to boot but then this virus stops the rundll32.exe which will not allow you open many items in the control panel. You can not uninstall programs, administrative tools anything that would help you remove the virus. I ended up using the UBCD and wipe the hard drive. If there is more that i should know please advise.
This is a nasty one.

I worked on this for a few hours. The updates version of this virus blocks all your downloads, and says all your programs are infected. when you try to run maleware bytes it says the .exe is infected, It does this for all programs. It also blocks your sites you go to and re-routes the web site.

The only way around this is to restart, as soon as the windows screen is starting hit (alt-ctrl-del) you have to do it BEFORE the virus program is started ot it will block the program. Once the processes are up it’s a piece of cake. end process for sysguard.exe. It will re-boot a couple times just end process. The pop-ups will stop and you can go on internet explorer without being re-routed. Download maleware bytes and it will remove the program for you.

Got this today. Finally removed it, or so all scans say. No more popups, no more security alerts, all seems well and good.

However ONE huge problem still persists: I cannot access the internet with any browser but Firefox. Opera, Safari, and IE all give connectivity errors now, rather than redirecting me to the Antivirus Pro website.

Can Any one please help?

Billy December 22nd, 2009 at 9:59 pm

Diana, go into internet options if usin ie then go to conections and lan settings. when clicked on there makesure there are no boxes checked, if there are uncheck them. that worked for me but im still strugling with virus and hev noticed it doesnt seem to affect my computer in safe mode. this can bide me some valuable time to sort it out and research it.
