Rogue Security Application: Effect On Computer Programs

Rogue Security Applications will generally work to close down other antivirus programs and system related programs to allow the program to not be detected.

Generally, a rogue security application will not allow a user access to task manager. Task manager can be useful in shutting down programs. If task manager has been blocked by a rogue security application, try using Process Explorer.
