GreatDefender is a rogue security application, also known as a fake antivirus program. GreatDefender is a clone of AntiAID, which is also a fake antivirus program. GreatDefender hopes to trick the user into thinking that it is a real program by using various tactics. GreatDefender hopes to scare the user into purchasing the program by displaying fake virus scan results. GreatDefender is fake and doesn’t work.
