Antivirus Pro (AntivirusPro) Virus Removal Guide

Antivirus Pro, also known as AntivirusPro or Antivirus Pro 2023, is a new fake antivirus application. The program can also be known as a Rogue Security Application. Antivirus Pro is one of many fake antivirus applications released in May 2023. Previous versions of this fake antivirus software include AntiMalware Tool and Antivirus Center. The look of each fake antivirus program is the same; the difference is the name.

Antivirus Pro is generally installed without user permission through the use of a trojan horse. Since it is installed with user permission, it is therefore classified as a rogue security application. The trojan horse is generally downloaded to the computer through a security flaw and proceeds to download the virus. Antivirus Pro attempts to be legitimate by making it’s logo look similar to the logo of Microsoft and therefore hoping to trick the user. However, Antivirus Pro is fake. The main executable for this virus is generally a series of random letters.

Below is our recommended removal tool for Antivirus Pro. The removal tool has been rated 5 cows out of 5 by Tucows and was previously CNET’s Editor’s Choice. Feel free to download it below.

If Antivirus Pro is blocking the removal tool from running, you may need to stop the processes associated with Antivirus Pro with task manager. If task manager has been blocked by Antivirus Pro, try using Process Explorer.

Antivirus Pro, like many other fake antivirus programs, will create a series of warnings and pop ups in order to scare the user into purchasing the fake program. A couple of these warnings from Antivirus Pro can be found below.
